  • I think I need to adjust my original assessment of Coyote Ugly. We happened to find ourselves here on the Friday right before New Years weekend and it was mostly by chance... We were walking through NYNY at about 9 when they were letting people enter without cover and happened to have happy hour pricing. We looked at each other and said sure why not... After all, we were really looking to get some fresh drinks anyways. That was at 9 and we ended up staying until about 4am without realizing it. I think the reason why Coyote Ugly get a mediocre rating is most people come here with the wrong expectations just as I did on my initial visit. I think most people (myself included) think that this place is going to be crazy when it's more like light-hearted fun where you kick back, have a drink, and sing along with the music. We ended up getting some shots at the bar from the girls, putting some bills in the jukebox to play our songs, and getting a lot of drinks at the bar. I pretty much am going to do an about face on the star rating. I think Coyote Ugly is perfect for the first night (like a Friday) before hitting up a club on Saturday and going all out. I am going to give them 4 stars and will probably stop by again during my visit in couple of weeks.
