  • The hubby and I visited 5Church with another couple during restaurant week. We were seated quickly and our waiter was quick to greet us, yet fairly mechanical with his overview of the menu. He reassured us several times throughout our meal that he wasn't trying to rush us out the door, which led to us, in fact, feeling like we were being rushed out of the door... Our apps, main dishes, and dessert all came out at an appropriate pace. Overall we all enjoyed ourselves. I'm giving three stars for 5Church because I'm just not sure I understand the hype... the ambience is cool, the food was good, but it didn't leave me dying to come back for another meal. I'd rather spend the same amount of money (or less) exploring another chic restaurant in CLT.
