That moment when you're about to blow $1000 on a guitar but your employees are so rude you decide that it's just better to order the guitar from Guitar Center.
Here's a tip for your sales people in Las Vegas:
Don't blow off the guy buying picks. He very well may be looking to make a large purchase the same day.
But maybe I should thank you guys instead. Because now I can save myself sales tax by ordering online from a different retailer.
Here's what went down. I was waiting in line to buy a pack of picks so I can try out an Ibanez seven string that was marked $999. I noticed another sales associate (Aaron) counting a different register so I figured he was opening or closing so I didn't want to bother him in the middle of counting. So when he was done, I walked over to him and asked "hey man, can I pay for these with you or should I wait for the other guy?". Aaron looked up at me and said "Let me just stop what I'm doing so I can ring you up even though I'm helping another customer", in a very rude tone. Mind you, there was no other customer around at all. But that's cool dude, you're busy. So I told him not to worry about it and I went back to the other line. He said "get over here and I'll ring you up". I told him I'll just wait. He repeatedly said "get over here, get over here" like I'm some 5 year old child that isn't listening to their parent. I ended up just putting the picks back on the shelf and walking out completely empty handed. Which bums me out because I really wanted that guitar.
So, in the words of the great Key and Peele, "you done messed up A-a-ron". Because you just cost your company a $1000 sale at what I'm guessing is around 25-32% gp, yourself some commission, and a customer complaint directly to Ash's.
