| - This is a small cafe, maximum capacity of 45. With that said, staff didn't appear to be prepared to provide the best customer service. There were only a few tables of customers when we walked in. Yet we were not greeted at all, and being our first time, we weren't sure of the ordering process. There was a bell to ring for assistance. Which in my opinion, is not the best way to get the staff's attention. It's just a distraction to other customers dining, and you get awkward looks from everyone. Now for the food, ordered 2 waffle combos, original and red velvet. You pay at the time of ordering with tip option. Which we anticipated the best so we tipped 20 %. But for being a "family recipe", waffles did not fair well against other restaurants such as, IHOP. The flavor of the batter didn't stand out, nor did the texture. And toppings are just that, topped on. Chocolate chips and blueberries are not baked into the batter. Not sure if this is an option? Eggs are very runny. Note to self, always ask for scrambled hard. Thai tea with Boba does not taste like traditional. The tea tasted like it was a Chai blend, and the Boba was not sweet at all. Blueberry syrup, seasoned potatoes are excellent! The Columbia roasted coffee is also great. Unfortunately, this was not our best choice for breakfast. There is room for improvement in the pace of their customer service, and quality of food. I lived in Louisiana many years, and quality of food and customer service/hospitality is what makes or breaks any cafe or restaurant. To their defense, they did say have a good day when we walked out.
