| - Dr. Kloss & his staff are the most unprofessional and discomforting group of health professionals I have ever encountered.
I first visited the Paradise Ridge offices on Wednesday evening because I was experiencing extreme discomfort from a toothache. The physicians on hand scheduled me to come back for a root canal in two days, after the antibiotics the doctor prescribed me would take effect.
I returned to the office the following day, Thursday, because my pain levels had increased 10-fold. I didn't make it past the waiting room. Pain I was experiencing included mind-numbing headaches, throbbing sensations that ran throughout my gums, and feelings of my head ready to explode. The office would not let me see the doctor, instead, they said they couldn't help me and directed me towards taking more over-the-counter pain killers, which I had already explicitly stated had not helped.
I returned Friday for my scheduled root canal. The dentist did a good job on the procedure, however he assured me a quick recovery and no complications would result from the root canal. He then laughed, seeming to mock me, when I asked if I would be ok to take an important test Monday morning.
The office never called to follow-up with me and check on how I was feeling.
Saturday and Sunday were miserable. I called the office twice to express my discomfort and both times, were no help in alleviating my pain and discomfort.
By Sunday morning, my pain level had elevated from high to excruciatingly high. I called the office and scheduled a time to see the doctor ASAP. I felt helpless and decided to drive 40 minutes to the office in excruciating pain to see the doctor. He quickly checked the area he operated, and assured me I would be fine stating, "I've been doing this a long time." He never seemed like I was worth his time, nor made direct eye contact when he talked to me.
After not being able to sleep more than 2 hours at a time due to the pain from Wednesday-Sunday night, I decided it was time to seek a specialist's opinion.
When I arrived at the specialist's office Monday morning the receptionist commented on how rude and poorly the Paradise Ridge office had treated her when asking for my x-rays.
Paradise Ridge declined to send my x-rays to the specialist's office I paid for Wednesday night.
The receptionist at the specialist's office commented on how unprofessional & unhelpful the office administrators at Paradise Ridge were, stating "they completely shut me out and were uncooperative when I mentioned I worked for another dentist's office."
I had to pay another $90 for the exact same x-rays I had taken days earlier.
Within 30 seconds of being evaluated by the root canal specialist, he sensed something was wrong. He said, "this is the worst swelling I have ever seen."
He drained my infected area and within minutes my pain had been relieved. I had to jump through hoops to get two minutes of attention from Paradise Ridge. I will never return to Paradise Ridge & I advise anyone who values caring, thoughtful, and considerate dental care to take your business elsewhere.
To this day, Paradise Ridge has not called to check on me nor schedule a follow-up appointment for my root canal.
