One member of our group made a reservation, last minute, through the Mandalay concierge for a business dinner. We arrived and were immediately led down the large staircase, past the massive wine tower to the back of the restaurant in a corner. Perfect for a quiet conversation. However, the restaurant was very empty with maybe only 3 other tables with people.
We started with a bottle of Pinot Noir. I had no idea about the "wine angels" and missed the presentation of them putting on a harness to get the bottle of wine out of the wine tower. You can't see it from the back corner of the restaurant and staff did not mention it.
A member of our group ordered several items for the table to share and I was able to try bites of a few items.
Focaccia & Herb Butter-So good and I probably filled up with too much bread
Hummus, Baba Ganous & Tzatziki-good
Chilean Sea Bass-My favorite of the dishes I tried
Roasted, Organic & Wild Mushrooms-Very good
Turkey, Ham & Swiss Meatballs-good
Beef Cheek Ravioli-good
A perfect environment for our group of 6 to plan out the week.
