| - My daughter was born here in 2012 and besides the "special" nurse who wanted to see how good I could push (without a doctor present), and when my daughters head starting to show and nurse making me hold the baby in until my dr showed up 45 mins later... I had a good stay at the hospital. In the maternity section, I couldn't complain.
However, I take my daughter here x2 years later to the pediatric emergency room and its a whole different place. People up front were friendly , but when the nurse comes to get us (Linda C.), she keeps making sarcastic and snotty remarks. My daughter is dragging walking , ahem , because she feels like crap... So as we are following her she turns around and says,"well are you girls coming or what?". (My eastside Vegas wanted to come out). I let it slide. Later she's asking if she had a fever, I told her it was 100 at home. "We only worry when it's 101". She then takes her temperature it reads 101.4. She says "see temperature". Okay so I guess my thermometer is off a little at home. At this point she's irritating me. "So you said your daughter is acting lethargic"...points at my daughter who is fazing out but still coherent,"that's not lethargic. Lethargic is when a kid will just lay there and let me stick needles in their arms". Ummmm this state MY daughter is in , compared to her normal bounce off the walls running in circles IS lethargic. Trying to take my mind off this annoying nurse. As she's putting the heart monitor on my daughters finger, I say,"look honey just like ET". She says,"she's a little too young to remember that don't you think?" . Happens to be one of my girls favorites
So this chick leaves and Mr. Personality/Doctor comes in doesn't say but a few words and then goes right to checking my daughters ears etc... After x10 seconds "she has a throat infection, plenty of fluids, antibiotics, rest". I wasn't expecting you to roll out a red carpet for a sick little girl but at least be nice to her so she's not scared of the dr. I think I would rather pick scabs than go back here.
