| - How did it take me 2 years to find Bandung? The food, drinks, and service are all superb! On a whim my husband and I stopped in on a Thursday night and were excited to find some great happy hour specials in Bandung's Nutty Bar. We indulged in the $2-off specialty cocktails, scrumptious Pangsit Keju (cream cheese wontons), beef satay slider, chicken pad thai, and chicken pad see ew. Julia, the awesome bartender, makes fantastic cocktails! The "spice island" was a wonderful concoction of rye whiskey, cardamom, allspice and ginger beer (I think I am forgetting something), with a fine sugar/cinnamon rim. Divine! The addition of lemongrass to her take on a margarita adds such a bright note. The food is top notch as well! The HH (Sunday-Thursday) food menu serves up some great noodle dishes for incredibly reasonable prices. The pad thai and pad see ew both hit the spot with well balanced sauces and perfectly cooked noodles. The inventive sliders for $4.50 offer small bites that pack a punch of flavor. We will definitely be adding Bandung to our rotation of go-to places to eat in Madison!
