  • My husband and I came here with another couple for a quick getaway. We've been here before in years past and had a nice time. We were hoping for a fun time this time, but a rude, pregnant bartender ruined the experience. We checked in and the man at the front desk was wonderful. I would give him 5 stars. We then had dinner at the restaurant and our server was very nice. I would also give her 5 stars. She was very friendly and attentive. After dinner we hoped to hang out in the bar, which was advertised to close at 11pm, listen to the jukebox, play some slot machines and have drinks. As soon as we walked up to the bar, the bartender said "what do you want to drink?". No "hi, hello, how are you, what would you like?". I was immediately taken aback by her rudeness. We all gambled at the bar, but none of our drinks were comped. I'm not sure of the policy here, BUT the bartender should have either informed us that they don't comp drinks OR that we needed to be playing a certain amount. If we had been informed of either of those things, we probably wouldn't have even bothered gambling, considering we were presented with a $110 bill after receiving terrible service. Next let's talk about health code violations... We watched the bartender take off one of her shoes and fix one of her socks and never wash her hands after. But the most appalling thing was how when we would order another drink, she would take our dirty glass, dump the ice out and stick the dirty glass into the ice bin to refill it. I witnessed this every time she made someone another drink. Absolutely unacceptable. It's flu season, and she should have more common sense than that. Not to mention that you should NEVER put glass into an ice bin. We paid our tab, left a $10 tip and left without even a thank you from her because she was busy talking to other employees (like she did the entire time we were there). All 4 of us are in the service industry, so had she not been miserable and rude, she would have received a good tip from us. Also we heard her complaining and saying how she planned to do last call at 9:30, even though as I said earlier the posted closing time was 11pm. She totally ruined our experience. Also, the jukebox was not working and the tv at the bar was not even turned on. There was just some terrible music playing quietly. VERY disappointing.
