  • I am pretty sure their employment ad goes something like this... "Are you the biggest liar out of all your friends? Do you get your kicks by telling people whatever they want to hear, only to keep quiet and act like you have no idea what they are talking about when they bring it up again? Are you a salesman who really enjoys not listening to what your customers needs are? Do you like to throw a wrench in a deal at the last minute and do so over and over because you have talked out of your butt so much, even you forget what you say? Are you a financial manager that is willing to do anything for a (literal) dollar and who likes to write down numbers that mean nothing, only to change the numbers on the contract? Do you enjoy talking your way out of your own lies when caught, and keep telling lies to cover up the last? Do you not accept blame for your own actions? If this sounds like you, then we have the perfect career for you at Avondale Mazda. Our motto is, lie your pants off and hope you don't get caught!" And when you catch them and call them on their crap, they put the blame on you and tell you how much they did for you. Trying to buy a car from Avondale Mazda is like being in an abusive relationship. You put up with their lies for a while and they make you feel like you need them (their car) and can't go anywhere else. But when you try to walk away, they scream at you to "remind" you how good they were to you. Our last communication with Avondale Mazda was just like a breakup text and it went exactly like this (I did add in parenthesis to emphasis what part of the breakup conversation it is)... "We have all new management as of last month so the past is the past." (EXCUSES) "I can assure you we were losing a lot of money on your deal. We also let you out of a contract we could hold you to but we want you to be happy. We also went and purchased 2 expensive vehicles for You only to lose almost $1500 on your deal." (LOOK WHAT YOU MADE US DO) We will keep them and eat it just to make you happy. This was a very expensive lesson for us to try to make a customer happy while not making money but in the end not giving you pressure and making you happy with whatever you want to do is our main goal. (THIS IS WHY ITS YOUR FAULT, AND WE DID NOTHING WRONG) Good luck with your vehicle purchase. I'm sorry you felt that way and wish you only the best (SEE! WE ARE THE GOOD GUY, NOT THE ABUSER- GOODBYE.) As a customer, if you like to be an abusive relationship by being lied to, manipulated, and don't really care about the quality of your new car or how much you pay for it, then this is the place for you. If you care about how much you are paying (monthly payments AND the total amount) then don't go to Avondale Mazda. If you care about having your brand new vehicle delivered clean and in new condition (and not looking like a used rental car,) then don't go to Avondale Mazda. If you care about buying your car from a quality dealership where the employees are honest and straight forward then don't go to Avondale Mazda. Oh, and they fudged the DMV registration putting less miles than what the car actually had, we changed the contract by hand to reflect the actual miles and THAT is the contract that they "let us out of." And, they told us that we don't qualify for employee pricing and lied about why we don't. We looked it up on the Mazda website and were able to find (in writing) that we do. And when we FINALLY found a Mazda dealership that we liked, we got the discount no problem. The best part of it all, we ended up buying a car from a great salesman at another dealership who had, at one time, worked for Avondale Mazda and left when the "new management" came in. New management would have been smart to keep him (Scott "Elf") and should have got rid of these jokers. Listen, this is a pre-intervention... Just don't go to Avondale Mazda, you are awesome and deserve to be in a better relationship than that!
