| - I compliment LINQ on a great transformation. I'd been there when it was Imperial Palace, and they've done wonders. It feels modern and clean inside, the 3535 Bar is fantastic, fitness center/spa is classy, access to the LINQ Promenade and nearby hotels is great.
Staff were very friendly, helpful, and efficient at checking us in and getting us into adjoining rooms. I was traveling with extended family, age range 20s-80s, and we all agreed that we really enjoyed our stay. LINQ is a top-to-bottom remodel, but of course there are space and building limitations that may not be impressive enough for those who frequent bigger resorts. Offerings are more in line with what I've seen at budget, 'millenial-friendly' boutique hotels, as developed by a giant gaming corporation.
ROOM: Standard double, small for Vegas. They did what they could with the space, and it helps - a sleek counter + flat screen replacing the old-timey armoire, an open closet (w/curtain), and sliding-door bathroom with additional mirror outside. Bathroom is completely new and I dig it, even the pump soap - a bit industrial, but it beats playing with little bottles. Towels/pillows were noticeably weak. We had a 19th Floor, side-eye view of Caesars/Strip, but went in expecting no view, so we were pleased.
ELEVATORS: Please, Yelp, calm down. They can be a little bit slow but most of the time we're talking 10-20 seconds, maybe a minute on the ground floor, and when it's actually busy (check-in/out), you might have to let one car go and wait 2 minutes. Don't worry, Celine will be there, and your heart will go on!
3535 BAR: Do not miss this place! It's pricey but the drinks are top notch, and there are HH deals etc.
HASH HOUSE: Crazy huge Vegas breakfast portions, good coffee, menu can be hit or miss.
LINQ PROMENADE: You realize why the Strip didn't build outdoor promenades before - daytime is murder - but it was cool to stroll a couple times, grab a slice, and watch the High Roller.
RESORT FEES, WE MEET AGAIN: We had internet problems with both of our rooms at one point. We checked out separately, and one front desk clerk removed one night's resort fee from my relative's bill; my clerk refused to make any adjustments. I then had to call and repeatedly ask why the policy applied differently to me even though we were staying together and both of our rooms had internet issues. Ultimately the manager made the adjustment - I thanked her and she hung up on me. Disappointing after such a solid experience, so I sent feedback to customer service and received an apology and resort credit. Hopefully they're just squeezing out the last few drops of Imperial Palace staff ooze and will be even LINQier on my next visit.
