  • The LINQ is an open-air retail, dining, and entertainment mall between the Quad (formerly Imperial Palace) and the Flamingo. It will open in stages with the High Roller, a giant Ferris wheel, as the star attraction. Already, several businesses have opened here, including O'Shea's (an Irish-themed casino), the Haute Doggery ( a gourmet hot dog restaurant), and The Purple Zebra (a self-serve daiquiri bar). I went to the Haute Doggery last week and was amazed at all the choices of wieners and sausages available to satiate my appetite. I ordered an Empire State Dog, which is a grilled frank with onions in red sauce and mustard, and chili-cheese fries. Yum! I will definitely be back soon! I also see that the High Roller Ferris wheel is nearing completion, and I will definitely give it a spin (pun intended) when it opens. It's axiomatic that Las Vegas always reinvents itself, and the wonderous LINQ is proof that it is doing so nicely. I am looking forward to the rest of The LINQ opening this year!
