  • I forgot to make an appointment at my regular go-to place (Nailsense) and they couldn't fit me in at the last minute. I went into crisis-mode and headed straight to Yelp (after a skim through BlogTO). I searched and searched for a place that was accessible by the TTC and was consistently rated highly. My stress level went down when I came across Tiffany Nails & Spa. All of the Yelp reviews were positive and so I decided to make an appointment for a shellac manicure and shellac pedicure. When I called to make a next-day appointment, they were very accommodating and polite on the phone. When I went in, all employees were busy working on clients. I took a seat on the couch and waited about 15 minutes past my appointment time, but no worries... I had time and I was having a nice chat with a man whose wife was in progress and he was waiting on a pedicure. Apparently, another client had requested additional services beyond what she booked, which was causing the delay. When a seat was free, Linda called me over to start my pedicure. She was meticulous, even repairing a bunk toenail for me so it looks brand new! Ceci did my manicure and was equally as attentive, and totally fixed my ratty fingernails. Her painting was perfect... edge to edge with no smudging and did a very good job painting under my nails slightly to ensure the polish would last. The place is clean and quiet and the employees are focused on their clients. There's occasional conversation among staff, but it's definitely not a loud place. For shellac colours, this place has the best selection. I'm guessing they had at least 130 colours which beats the 30 or so from which I can to choose at Nailsense. The steady stream of clients coming through the door is a testament to how good tis place is. There is also a loyalty card: 5 visits gets you a free eyebrow wax. Their prices are very fair and lower than Nailsense. Although I still love Nailsense, I'm totally willing to travel to Tiffany. I was so worried about finding a comparable place and so glad I trusted Yelpers! Well done, ladies!
