I have done hot yoga before, and absolutely loved it. Since I hadn't been in a while (the studio I used to go to got new owners and went downhill sadly), I thought I would check out Breathe. Not only is the Avenida location close to where I live, but one of my former co-workers has worked for them and said nothing but nice things about them.
Breathe is a beautiful studio. Very clean and welcoming. The change room is always spotless and there is a zen feeling as soon as you walk in the door. I cannot comment on the evening classes as I tend to go to daytime classes (I work evenings), but I haven't experienced any overcrowding in the classes so far. The first class I tried here was a Core class and it was amazing. It was challenging, but easy to follow. I've had great instructors as well which is an added bonus. I got back into hot yoga because I'm trying to increase flexibility and mobility. I have pain in my left knee from dead lifting and it can be quite uncomfortable. I have found I have no pain when I am doing hot yoga, which is fantastic! I do adjust some poses as to not aggravate my knee too much though and the instructors are very understanding. I do not feel like they judge me when I do the postures a little different.
The McKenzie Towne location has a non-heated studio as well, and they have a bigger variety of classes. I may go there to try some of those classes soon! Overall, I've had a good experience with Breathe. Plus the introductory special for one month is a great deal!
