| - Encore is a nice hotel on the Las Vegas strip, but it is not without flaws. I enjoyed this weekend's visit to Encore, however this was largely due to the great clubs, restaurants, and shows that you do not need to be a guest of the hotel to enjoy.
Pros:
1. Convenience - Encore beach club is one of the best pool clubs in Vegas; Le Reve is playing at Wynn (worth seeing!)
2. Staff is fantastic and very helpful
3. Restaurants are great! Mizumi, Andrea's were both fantastic
Cons:
1. All of the double queen rooms face the pool/nightclub. When checking-in we were put on the 5th floor facing the nightclub without any disclosure about noise. Upon returning to our room the first evening, it sounded like we were literally sleeping in the nightclub (on the pro list, we heard David Guetta's set multiple times, now dubbed "guetta lullaby"). The staff was helpful and moved our room upon request on our third night when we finally had it with the noise. We were told the only remedy was to move us to a king room on the other side of the hotel (luckily my friend and I did not mind sharing a bed). It was a pain repacking all of our belongings, lugging them down to the front desk, and then to a new room...I was a bit disappointed. (I would note, I have stayed at Encore hotel before in a double room on a higher floor and had no issue with noise. I would suggest requesting a room as high as possible to avoid the noise inconvenience.
2. The main hotel pool loses sunlight around 2:30pm. This was quite disappointing given one of the main reasons for out trip was to soak up some sun, and we didn't want to pay for encore beach club everyday.
3. There is no coffee machine in the room, and while you can get complimentary bottled water in the fitness center, none is offered in the room (???) stock up when you go to the gym!
