  • I don't like to give bad reviews and have only given one or two in my lifetime, but I felt the need to warn others this time. The diagnosis was just as I expected when I had the car towed to this shop. I knew that the stalling occurred because the air boot had not been put back on properly, causing the car not to get gas, as it has happened once before. This is evidence that you should stick with your gut instinct and don't let anyone try to tell you different. Instead, when Sissy called to explain the laundry list of recommendations totaling over $2,000, she even mentioned that the reason the car was stalling was that the the air valve or air boot not properly put back on. Instead, she tried to sell me other flushes and services that would "fix the stalling". She never told me that the boot was put back on and that the car was running fine and I could pick it up! She even said that it stalled for them too. So instead of simply picking it up myself, I scheduled another tow to take it back to the shop I trust. When I picked it up, the service manager asked why we were having it towed and then told my husband it was the air valve that wasn't on right and that the stalling issue was fixed. The exact suggestion I asked to be checked when I dropped it off!!! Unbelievable. Instead I was put through the ringer and almost duped into spending lots of money on flushes and fluid changes to fix a problem I could have googled and fixed on my own because I knew exactly what it was. This is the exact reason why mechanics get the bad name they do. Just plain and clear deception to get more money. Steer clear of this place. Update: after leaving feedback from a follow up email, I received a call from Bridgestone (Firestone parent company) where I explained my situation. Immediately after, I received a call from Sissy who apologized for the miscommunication on their end and offered to do all the recommended fluid flushes at no charge to make up for the inconvenience caused. I appreciate the effort to make thing right. I just hope they get a bit more aligned in their communication back to their customers so it doesn't happen to others.
