| - Once upon a time I worked for Le Chateau. Part of this meant that I was taught how to read the tags for seasons and the years of their clothing lines...it's a hard habit to get rid of, especially when you go to their outlet, and sift through thousands and thousands of clothes which are marked with "$29.99 and up" "$99.99 and up" etc. For example, I just can't justify spending $120.00 on a jacket from their Fall 2005 line, when I could buy a brand new jacket, which hasn't been tried on and worn by thousands of people, for the exact same price.
So why do I come here? Their shoe section, obviously, and occasionally their jackets and dresses.
This last trip I found no good deals in the boots department which is heartbreaking since I am in desperate need of new boots, but I did find a stunning christmas party dress for $29.99 marked down from $165.00 . I also found a classic black pencil skirt for $15.00 marked down from $79.00.
You can find good deals here but it requires 1) Patience, 2) Time, 3) an empty bladder (They don't have a public bathroom anywhere near by) and 4) The energy to sift through years and years and years of clothes.
The staff are not ever very helpful, but at this location I'm pretty sure they don't make commission, so I don't really blame them. The store itself is dirty, dusty and stuffy, so not the most enjoyable to spend an extended period of time in either.
But if you have the time on your hands, are a patient person and the type of person who doesn't want to be bothered by sales associates while you shop, this may be a good place for you to snag a deal.
