| - Never again! The first and last time I'll be staying here.
We come to Vegas several times a year and usually stay at the Palazzo, which always treats us very well. But decided that since the rooms were so inexpensive when I booked, might as well give it a try.
This may seem minute, but I've never been to any hotel where they charged to use the gym. I was directed to the "Cardio Center", which is just a handful of treadmills and a stack of free weights. I inquired about a real gym and they told me that they provided a full gym, but for a $25 fee. Look, I'm not cheap. We were here 4 days and spent thousands of dollars on cabanas, food and drinks. I just don't want to be nickled and dimed to death for amenities that are typically included in resort fees. This is ridiculous to me.
When I asked about this at the MLife service desk, this robotic kid just stared at me with this lifeless expression and repeated blankly, "We charge $25 for the use of the full gym." He said those exact words, 3 subsequent times when I posed follow up questions. I asked him, I think his name was Andrew, if he was just going to repeat that same line again and again until I walked away, and he just stared at me... Repeated, "We charge $25 for the use of the full gym." This is an insult to artificial intelligence everywhere.
This was typical of the way were treated all week. Poor customer service all around. They seem pretty proud to advise their guests that they're part of the MGM community which owns about 50% of the properties on the strip. I guess they just narrowed down my choices to the other 50% because I will never stay at an MGM owned property again.
