| - I just cooked and ate a rack of lamb I bought from Sanagan's. Wow, it was the best rack of lamb I had (including one's I've had at fine restaurants.) What else can I say, it enticed me to write this review.
Honestly I can't add too much to many of the previous reviewers. The meat is local, ethically raised, but does not carry any pretentious elitist overtones that plague many other local-organic establishments.
I was not a regular before, I bought some Mennonite pork shoulder last year to make some mexican pulled pork. It tasted great, but hey, with all the spices and chipotle I put in it, it was hard to separate that cut from the herd. But the rack of lamb, it sold me. I'm going to become a regular. I'm still mostly too cheap to always buy local and/or organic. But I am realizing that it DOES taste better, and all the tree-hugging, planet-saving rhetoric, well it's just a bonus. The bottom line is, Sanagan does delver on the bottom line, priced right, tastes great, and you know these guys are passionate about their meat.
