| - The actual movers I had were great. They were efficient, careful with my belongings, friendly - could not have asked for more.
My issue is with the professionalism of the company. I scheduled a 9 a.m. move, which they confirmed the day before. At 10 a.m. on moving day, I called to ask where they were. They apparently had a "dispatch mix-up" and didn't send a truck but the truck was on its way from Toronto, expected around 11. So, based on how far I am from Toronto, that means they did not send a truck until I called. At 11:45, I called again, asking where they were. They said the truck was "close". It was around 12:15 p.m. when they showed up. At that point, as mentioned, things went swimmingly.
When I spoke with the very polite customer service rep, they said they would look into a discount for my inconvenience and call me back. I am still waiting for that call. They also sent an automagic survey asking for feedback, and I reached out to their customer service team asking if they'd like to make things right before I provided feedback. They said "we'll review the situation and get back to you". Still waiting for that email.
Overall, it was a good price and the movers did a great job, but I had to reschedule my internet hook-up, which cost me $75, and the customer service left a lot to be desired. I wouldn't use them again because they're not reliable.
Also! Nearly forgot - I told them in my first communication that I would be moving to a place with one flight of stairs, no elevator. They did not put that in the quote. When they confirmed the time, they asked about stairs, and I said "per my request for a quote, there is one flight of stairs"., and she said that would be a charge on top of the quote. I understand the charge, but it was in my initial communication and should have in the initial quote.
