I'm addicted to the food network and I love watching Michael Symon so I was pretty excited to try his 'new' restaurant. My high hopes were dashed pretty quickly and unfortunately I have to give a bad review. This might be a good place to stop for a beer while waiting for your flight but I don't recommend eating here. This place doesn't beat out the other airport fare, which isn't saying much at all.
I ordered the grilled cheese which was fontina, roasted red peppers and arugula on sour dough. I also ordered the tomato and blue cheese soup which sounded delicious and came recommended by the waitress. The soup tasted like spaghetti sauce in a bowl. No lie. It was way too thick and I was left waiting to wonder when my side of pasta would be arriving. If there was any blue cheese in this soup, I didn't taste it. My grilled cheese wasn't bad, it just wasn't great. The sourdough wasn't toasted on the outside and the roasted red peppers were cold and the cheese was luke warm. I can't imagine the lunch we were served is representative of the Iron Chef.
P.S. This underwhelming soup and sandwich set me back about $20 and it clearly wasn't worth that.
