| - I am not used to large, open-area strip clubs. But that's only because I didn't go to Vegas very often. Any strip club you go to in Vegas (except for the nude places, i.e. Sherri's Cabaret and Cheetahs) is large and cavernous. These places are topless, not nude, and will pretty much always have a full bar available 24/7.
The girls in Vegas, I've come to realize, are ALWAYS hit or miss, ANYWHERE you go. This is also true in most cities. The reason men repeatedly say this is because they all have their specific tastes. Any moron knows that not every single guy on the street likes creme brule. Some guys enjoy, maybe a little... tiramisu? Or bananas foster? Shove any guy (or girl, for that matter), into a strip club, and he/she will find several girls they love, and several that they start dry-heaving at. That's just the way it is. Clubs like Penthouse have such a large volume of women working there, I challenge you to go in during peak hours and not find ONE girl you don't find attractive. It's highly unlikely. So please take "hit or miss" comments about any club, not just this one, with a grain of salt.
As far as business practices, most clubs in LV are so highly regulated that it's hard for them to scam over anyone (including the dancers). Therefore, talent is treated fairly well in this place, and the girls are at the very least civil to each other. I've met some very nice and caring girls here, but none I've become life-long bosom buddies with. In short, the girls are of a good disposition, though some "party" a little too much.
Earlier in the evening, it's probably going to be sort of dead, then gets busier with even more dancers showing up around 12am. The "after-party" late night hours are what keep this club going til 7-8am. Half of the club is designated as a nightclub with a DJ and a crazy-busy dancefloor. On the other side, the strip club remains, with its large stage and pole. The dancing staff starts to dwindle around that time, but the few girls that remain (I was one of them) can do alright for themselves. Business in this industry sucks right now, but I never left empty handed. I'm sure you could do even better than me if you're a veteran hustler, which I am not. I learned the ropes in LA, which is very passive compared to Vegas.
At any time, this club seems to have more space/seats available, especially after 6am. In the Rhino, I believe it's usually standing room only, and shoulder-to-shoulder at that. Penthouse allows you to spread out a bit more and not be squished in so much.
A note for dancers: you have to hustle like a mofo and earn your keep. Long convos at this establishment almost never pay off, so keep it short and sweet when talking to the PLs. Also, the bartenders are dismissive, but will get you what you need as long as you're polite and smile. PS - you WILL NOT make any stage money here, not unless some drunk frat kid got a roll of 1s and decides to rain on you. Stage tipping in Vegas is not common, and most of your money will comes from privates. If you're ever doing a VIP or private suite dance for a guy paying with a CC, try not to start the dance until the waitress runs his card. Starting a dance, then having the waitress come back with a declined card is not fun.
A plea to the late night/early morning customers: not all the dancers are as tired/strung out/drunk/desperate as you. So please stop asking them to go party with you at REHAB and/or give you free dances. It's classless and just plain annoying.
