My first visit to Petinary was a kind of emergency / stray bat situation (bat got into my apt, both cats needed to have their rabies shots updated). They were incredibly kind and supportive in what was a very stressful situation. I also need to add that one of my cats has a history of terrorizing vets (so I don't bring her to the vet very often). She was in full combat mode for this visit. When I was in the waiting room during her examination, she let out some kind of preternatural howl and two little boys in the waiting room actually *ran out of the building.* But Dr Kohn and his staff were totally unfazed by any of this and amazingly understanding.
On another occasion I was leaving town for a few weeks, wasn't sure what to do if my little Tasmanian Devil became ill or decided to depart this earth while I was gone. Michelle was super helpful in explaining what my options were and very accommodating about working with my cat sitter in case she had to bring the cat in for me.
I agree with others that Dr. Kohn's approach is very caring but not overly interventionist (and yes, also very reasonable fees for all services). This is a terrific local vet -- highly recommend!
