| - This is regarding service dept only. I have only had great experiences buying my last 3 vehicles here, with Dan Jones. However today I first tried to make an appointment for an oilchange online through my account and it wouldn't let me. I called directly to the service dept to make an appointment, explained and was told it is first come-first serve only only. I asked what time they open, since I was calling a little after 8am and the young lady said 8am, with the last vehicle being taken at 3pm. I asked what the average wait time was and she was clueless. Said if I wanted to wait she could find someone who could tell me. I said no thank you, didn't want to bother her because I figured if she didn't know and couldn't offer any more info she probably worked in the main office.
I headed over to the dealership after breakfast, which is about 20 miles away from where I live. When I arrived there a line out the driveway and one guy sitting on his tailgate with a cooler and eating his lunch. That should have been my first clue. There was no employees around to guide or answer a question. I parked in line and went up to the service office. When I walked in the young lady that answered the phone earlier was standing there on the phone. So clearly she should have some knowledge of the operation here. Another young man asked if he could help, and when I told him I needed an oil change he asked if it was a drop off. I was confused, so he explained the average wait for the "quick" line oil change is 2 1/2-3 hr wait. He suggests coming at 7am, even though they don't open until 8am. I said no and left. Went back across town to the Terrible's by my house, was in and out in about 20minutes.
I was irritated that I saw the girl who I had spoken too earlier right there, answering other questions. I know it was the same one because she gave her name on the phone. Also, that a place this busy doesn't offer appointments. And finally, they have the nerve to use the word "quick" to describe this process is rediculous.
I won't be back for an oil change because I don't have that kind of time in that part of town. I'm giving 2 stars because they must be good value, or something, if the lines are always that long.
