I have to say I expected a one of a kind experience and I was underwhelmed. Whether it's Tuesday or a Saturday, if you are charged top dollar you expect consistency. I was dining as part of a work function so I didn't make a big deal, however I will think twice before returning. I asked for a sparkling water with lime, the server didn't bring the lime on a plate and forgot to bring me a new one for twenty minutes. Two other ladies at my table had to wait just as long for their wine order and had to remind the server multiple times before she delivered. I was also confused by their explanation of how they cook their steaks. I was a professional cook in a kitchen for a year and if you tried to tell my chef that medium was essentially more like a medium rare she would laugh in your face. Four of the steaks at our table were undercooked considerably, and I love a well prepared mid-rare steak. The last thing I will mention is that as the servers were coming around to take the plates of those who were finished, I asked that the remainder of my steak be boxed up. I was very disappointed that no one returned with my steak. Maybe this evening was just a perfect storm of coincidental mistakes, the restaurant is beautiful and the steak seasoning is like no other. I typically wouldn't take the time, however Del Frisco's is a popular destination in our beautiful city, and if the consistency becomes priority it will flourish even more.
