rev:text	After both our washer and dryer conked out on us recently - thanks superstorm Sandy - we were forced to seek external clothes-cleaning environs. Since I hadn't used a communal laundry since I lived in an apartment in Cleveland Heights nearly 13 years ago I wasn't sure where to turn. Enter Yelp. With such stellar reviews I couldn't help but give Katie's a try. Most laundromats are dark, dingy places filled with shifty looking characters, randomly blinking fluorescent lights and quarter-eating outdated equipment. Katie's couldn't be further from this all-to-common stereotype. How about a nice succinct bulleted list: -New front-loading, eco-efficient equipment in a variety of capacities. They actually have machines capable of washing 7 loads at once and I'm pretty sure you could fit three people in their largest dryers. -No need for quarters. Everything takes credit cards. Don't worry, if you are stuck on using actual currency they've got you covered. -Plenty of seating. There's even a comfy couch that's perfect for relaxing while you wait. -Free wi-fi. Ask the staff for the password. -Clean and well-lit. Katie's is spotless and bright. -Plenty of folding tables and wheelie baskets. -A super-friendly staff that's always willing to help. If you're not sure how to use their machines just ask. I don't think it gets much better than Katie's when it comes to a laundromat. I won't go as far as to say that doing laundry is pleasant or fun, but since you've gotta do it the less pain the better. Katie's is virtually painless. Sure, their probably a little pricier than your average facility but I'm happy to pay it if it means keeping this gem around.
