I had some apprehensions about our choice to stay at Harrah's but I was pleasantly surprised and very happy with my stay overall. The rooms are fairly standard, and a little bit dated but they were clean and fresh. Our non-smoking floor lived up to its name which is a big one for me. The safe worked great, and the hair dryer in the room was decent. There was free wifi included with the resort fee which is pretty huge for us Canadians.
Upon check in we got a Total Rewards card so we could check in early and avoid the charge. The sign said check in wasnt until 4pm which is fairly late I think.
The pool area is freshly updated with comfy loungers and nice cabanas. The prices are really affordable to rent too. I really liked the pool over Excalibur. Just a nicer feel overall. However keep in mind there is less than half the amount of chairs here and they get taken fast so get there early if you want a place to lay down. The small lounge pool isn't heated though and is fairly cold. Our server Anna was really nice!
The location of this hotel is ideal. Now that the Linq is open and in full force, you can take advantage of all it has to offer. Plus all the other spots on the strip are just a quick jaunt away. I didn't take a advantage of a lot of the bars and restaurants in Harrah's as they didn't really appeal to me.
We didnt eat at the Fulton Street Food Hall for their Breakfast Seating because the prices were fairly expensive. The coffee and the pastries at the counter are really good though. I liked that they sold birthday cupcakes with a candle! The girl who worked at the counter at the pastry station was very very awesome and remembered our orders after going one time.
The dealers at the tables are pretty nice and patient. The craps tables were always $10 at night but 1 of 4 would be busy so it took them a while to change it to $5...by that point my money was gone anyways. Oh well, that's Vegas!
I would definitely stay here again but I will check out some other similarly priced hotels first I think.
