| - The bubble tea business is mighty competitive in Toronto so more times than not, what makes one bubble tea house stand out over its competitor is down to taste. Based on this one criteria, Boba Boys, despite the cute mascot and quirky bottles, is one of the worst tasting bubble teas I've ever had.
The teas lacked any deep flavor profile, and tasted more watered down, and the tapioca balls, despite the educational video showing the craft and care they put into making them, was undercooked, chalky and hard in the centre. I got a matcha milk tea with tapioca, which I found less than mediocre. Not to mention, the wait was ridiculously long given what I eventually ended up with. The service felt disorganized. Their price point is also higher than other bubble tea establishments. I'd rather spend my money at Gong Cha, Chatime, or The Alley. (Note: I'm not affiliated with any of these other bubble tea shops, just an avid bubble tea drinker.)
