  • We didn't have the best experience at Crave last night (Friday). I asked our server what kinds of gelato were available. She did not know and had to go ask the chef. When she returned, my husband ordered a plain slice of cheesecake. The server did not know whether the chef would be willing to leave the accoutrements off the cheesecake, so she left again to go ask. Turns out that the chef was unwilling to leave berries off of the cheesecake. Whatever, he got the cheesecake anyway and resolved to pick the berries off. I ordered the bacon cookie ice cream. 20-25 minutes later our desserts arrived. My husbands cheesecake was good, even though he had to take the unwanted stuff off himself. My cookie bacon ice cream thing was underwhelming. The cookies were hard as rocks, the bacon really didn't add anything to the dish, and the chocolate sauce in the bottom tasted suspiciously like plain ol' Hershey's syrup. We finished our desserts and waited a good 15 minutes for our server to come ask us if we wanted the check. This never happened. My husband had to get up and go find the server so that we could pay. Overall, we were unimpressed. We are not likely to return.
