| - I have had Fractured Prune on my radar for awhile, but unfortunately it is pretty out of the way so I didn't take chance to try it until today.
Delicious! The donuts are freshly made and piping hot even in the box, so they warn you to let it sit for a bit before digging in. They then dip it into a sauce of your choice (chocolate, vanilla, caramel, etc) and then a topping like cookies, sprinkles or something like that.
By the time I drove home they were still quite warm, but ready to be eaten. The texture is perfect for me. A ever so slight crisp to the crust, with a pillowy soft cake crumb. The toppings are simple in a good way. They compliment the donut instead of overpowering it.
It reminds me of a place in Philly, Federal Donuts, that had the best donuts I had tasted. This is right up there with it. It wasn't busy on a Sunday afternoon, and the place is very clean. The person who took my order was cert friendly and helpful for a first timer like myself.
Now I just need to find a way to work it into my driving route, lol!
