  • We were staying at the JW Marriott and I took a group of people to this restaurant for dinner. We ordered drinks and it took our waitress over 10 minutes to serve us, although the restaurant was not crowded. This was the overall theme of the night at Meritage. Several people in my party ordered the 20 ounce bone in ribeye and we they all felt it was an overpriced average steak at best. In addition, our waitress actually asked one of the guest at the table if it was "OK" to reuse his glass and ice when he reorder another drink. He laughed and said "OK" and she made a rude comment as she walked away (I am pretty sure her name was Lori). I spent over $1200 for a party of eight and the food was average and the service was below average at best. Do not waste your time at this restaurant! If you stay at the JW Marriott, go to Roy's which had much better food and service.
