First time at Sushi Wa and probably my last.
Nothing was terribly wrong, but it just wasnt that impressive. The interior is very nice. We almost felt a bit out of place in flip flops. The service was fine, though there were a few odd moments and they forgot to bring a few things. I ended up ordering the AYCE sushi, not because I was that hungry, but because the individual roll prices are so high (most around $13) that you have already hit the AYCE price once you have ordered two. I found the roll selection pretty much standard with a few surprises, but there was something off with all the things I ordered. I couldnt tell quite what it was, but I have a feeling the fish wasnt the freshest. There was that slightly bitter aftertaste that you get from fish that has been sitting around just a little too long.
Overall Sushi Wa was decent, but there are several other better AYCE places around town that I would prefer to spend $26.
