I kept seeing their full page ads in the RJ, their prominently advertised "A+" rating with the BBB, their "Free Quotes No Obligation" banner and "We Pay More Than Vegas Jewelers" copy. Sounded good to me!
I had a watch that was on their "Top 10 Most Wanted List" and some out of circulation currency in my safe deposit box so I stopped by for their valuation. I had already received valuations from other dealers and this would be a 'second opinion'.
Pleasant enough staff but when I got their valuations I was taken aback: Russell offered me $1,000.00 for a vintage watch that Tourneau offered me $7,000.00 for. Quite a difference, to say the least!
Then I came back another day and John offered me $14,000.00 for the currency that I had been offered $20,000.00 for from two separate, unaffiliated dealers.
It appears to me they prey on unaware, unknowing, and dare I say desperate customers looking for a 'fast buck'.
Based on my experiences I'd suggest you do your 'homework' and go elsewhere for a much better price for your 'stuff'.
