We found their road side stand at the foot of Mt St. Hillaire on the last weekend of August. We assumed it was this year's crop, and the girls who described the apples said those were "crunchy apples." Unfortunately the apples were spongy and some of them had gone bad within a week. It's too bad that an apple orchard would sell such stale apples. I assume their fresh apples must be much nicer, but my lesson is, I will never assume.
