  • DONT STAY HERE. You can thank me later if you heed this warning. The rooms are disgusting. And for the price of $54+ per night, it makes the whole thing even more disgusting. I had work over at the Orleans Casino across the street and thought it would be nice to stay in a place across the street where I could cook my own meals and walk to work. First of all, they don't provide ANYTHING. No dishes, pans, soap etc. You basically have to bring all your own stuff and move in. Which I was willing to do, to be close to work and be able to cook. That was not even my problem. My problem is how disgusting the rooms were. The carpet is nasty. I couldn't even take my shoes off and get comfortable. The couch I couldn't even sit on (photos included so you Don't think I'm insane). The bed in my coworkers room (a two bedroom "suite") was broken and at an angle. I don't know how the cleaning service missed that but we came to the room and had to wait for maintenance to come fix it at midnight. After ALL that, we asked to be moved to another room the next day and that one was just as bad if not worse. I showed them the same photos as you are seeing on this post and begged them to move us to something cleaner and fresher and they refused. They said they could "upgrade" us to the business suite for $200/night! No discount for our distress. (And mind you I was as sweet as pie to these people because I USUALLY find you get further with kindness than being a bully) but at Emerald Suites Cameron that is not the case. We had to move out of our place and go to the Extended Stay and Emerald STILL CHARGED US for the night even though the room was gross and we had to stay up late to get the bed repaired. At this point I can only hope that this review will help spare someone the headache of staying here.
