Our company contracts GES for our trade shows. We have 2 pretty large booths with them and they store, transport, set up and dismantle at each show. I have always questioned the way they do their invoices as they are so complicated and charge outrageous prices for every service rendered. Each phone call, email, pen used is accounted for on our bill. They continually make random charges throughout the planning phase and during the show, without getting approval from the card signer, which is me. I still don't have my final invoice from a show we had in May (It's been 3 months). The load in times are always off and delayed creating more charges for the overtime hours. When you have something that has been broken, damaged or missing, they put the blame on someone else. The account reps do NOT take responsibility for their clients and often avoid dealing with you, which frustrates me to no end. I am all about customer service and when I am paying an arm and a leg (literally) to have a nice looking booth at our shows and they ignore or avoid me, I have no choice but to warn others from using this company.
I WILL be moving our booths from GES very soon and am going with a more reputable company who does not have union employees and are always willing to help me without charging extra for every step they make. I would advise all Convention Centers to contract with someone other than GES if you would like to have returning exhibitors for your shows! there are a ton of other companies out there that will work with you and make your life much easier!
