A couple of key items brings Hop Haus up to a very soft 4-star rating for me (from a heavy 3). And one visit is all I need to form a Jake-worthy review.
Pros: Fraboni's pizza pies. Yum. It's like a higher quality frozen pizza, with ooey-gooey mozzarella goodness. I sorta just realized I have some Fraboni's dough, tomato sauce AND mozza in my fridge at home. Now I know what's for dinner tonight!
Beer and beverage selection - there's a lot. Diversity is a good thing.
Patio seating. Even in downtown Verona off the main stretch of road, and on concrete, it's a good idea to have patio seating. Because sun and outside.
Cons: The interior decor is just blah. Call me bougee, or snobby if you want...but you should get to know me firstly. There's just no character. Standard everything. I enjoy that it's a somewhat local venue, and that's SORRILY needed in Verona. Unless a music act, one-night food event, or meeting a friend there is in the cards, visit #2 from this Yelper won't be. It's just not my scene. I would much rather stroll into a local dive bar.
