| - We went here to price out some bulk macarons, and thought we'd have lunch while we were at it. They had a selection of desserts, pastries, and cakes in the display window to order right there, as well as a lunch menu that included soups and sandwiches. My friend got an egg salad sandwich on toasted wheat bread, I got a pistachio cannoli, and she got a mini lemon meringue tart. Let me say that we are NOT picky eaters, but we do have somewhat high standards, and we appreciate quality. We were definitely underwhelmed with the desserts, and probably wouldn't go back given the choice of really amazing bakeries in the area. My cannoli was filled with something resembling frosting, not a thick ricotta as usual. Her meringue and lemon curd tasted like the eggs curdled in the process, and wasn't smooth and tart. Nothing was inedible, but nothing was good, and not worth the splurge.
The egg salad sandwich was definitely good, so we ended up sharing that, but if you're looking for a sweet surprise I'd head elsewhere.
