| - Born and raised in the 808 definitely gives me the right to let everyone know whats the real deal about the food from Island Flavor. The terms "broke da mouth" or "ono" are used when you have consumed foods that are so delicious, full of flavor that you can eat it till you go into "polynesian paralasys" hahahaha! This place cooks and serves their food as if they were still back on the island, plated with "choke" (lots) of food and with lots of local flavors. All the other restaurants out there in vegas attemp to serve you what they call "hawaiian bbq" but Island Flavor doesnt sell theirselves to be a bbq spot, they stick to their name and serve you exactly what you want, Hawaiian food and more. The best Kalbi, well-done everytime and their chantilly and haupia cakes are just like home, maybe even better. Poke is fresh and the loco-moco's, three scoop rice, huge hamburger patty and choke gravy witht the mac, winner! Go in for the authentic Hawaiian plate on a friday or saturday night when they have live hawaiian music. Very laid back, everybody is family; auntie, cousin, uncle. You wont be disappointed
