| - If you
a) have very hard hair to cut (e.g. mine is super thick, long, and not uniformly curly)
b) dislike being at the mercy of stylists who think they know your hair better than you
Then really pay heed!
I would rather go to the dentist than get my hair cut. It may be painful, but at least with the dentist, I know what I'm getting. I have had my share of bad haircuts. I have felt remorse and shed tears. More often, I habe run home and rewash my hair to try to undo whatever uncomfortable style they have given me. So, I walked into Lone&Co feeling great anxiety. In fact, I arrived two hours before my appointment wondering if they could squeeze me in early, while in my heart I just wanted to get it over with as soon as possible. Sarah graciously accommodated me. She wasn't super chatty at first which was fine with me because what she did was REALLY listen! She got right down to business asking me questions and honestly considering my answers. After she finished, she even discussed strategies for future styles. I have never had anyone cut my hair the way she did, and I really enjoyed how she explained her rationale for her methods. In the end, I looked in the mirror and I was, for the first time in as long as I can remember, actually completely impressed. And I can even go back for complimentary bang trims which is awesome! In the end, I paid $94 which is a little on the pricy side for a shampoo and cut, but my hair feels great.
