  • If you are considering attending University of Phoenix and haven't obtained your Associate's degree, do yourself a huge favor and get your AA first at a community college. Many community colleges offer comparable programs for much, much less cost. I made the mistake of attending UoP. I'd planned to get my bachelor's with them, but after seeing the cost (over $30,000.00), and their extremely deceptive business practices, I stopped after receiving my AA. Now I'm thousands of dollars in debt for a degree that's outdated and that I could have very well gotten elsewhere for much less. There are many other online universities out there that offer similar programs, that are not-for-profit. UoP is more interested in revenue than its students.
