| - I don't have in-unit or building apartment laundry available. So Wash Basket is the closest venue, a 6-block walk (not a happy Jake), and I make do.
But enough of my life story...you don't need those details today.
Wash Basket is as clean as I could expect a decent laundromat to be - albeit, I stay out of the restroom unless it's an emergency.
Wash loads range from standard ($1.50/~24-27 minutes) to heavy duty machines (~$3.50 and up). They get the job done (a happier Jake).
I've always had a strange pleasantry for laundromat dryers. I've deduced this in direct relation to my overall impatience. All WB dryers accept quarters for 10 mins. of hot or cool use. A few accept dimes for 4 minutes of use as well. I always try to snag one of these dime-friendly machines, because I'm bougie like that. Darks get their own dryer, whites/lights, socks and undies, bedding, work shirts and delicates. Does that really make me bougie? Whatever...again, life details you don't need to know. :P
Check out the tips for WB too - I'd recommend finishing up by 7:30 - 8:00PM at the latest. It can be a bit dicey during the later and later hours. Also, Saturday and Sunday mornings, and Sunday afternoons, like a market trip, are swarming with patrons.
