I got hooked on Lagree Fitness in SF and can't stand to go a week without it. So I was very pleased to find a studio in my hometown while visiting. The Lagree method is not your traditional Pilates. It's a lot of isometric strengthening - expect lots of planking, lunges and holds. The Megaformer is a unique contraption that lets you move fluidly through exercises and work muscles you didn't even know you had. You'll be sore for days and it'll hurt in a good way! No other workout makes me shake and burn.
This studio has the older M2 machines which are a little clunkier with the spring changes. My other critique is sometimes instructors introduce exercises are that not traditional Lagree (like warrior lunge where you drop your heel) which might not be as effective as sticking to the method and adding variations.
I've taken a few classes with different instructors and really enjoyed Veronica's class, it was challenging but doable, she's encouraging, motivating without being in your face.
4/5 bumped up for the great customer service and friendliness of the staff.
