  • Plain and simple - all the negative reviews on here are 100% true and the positive, well I would guess the company is behind those posts. Although I had a reservation I waited in line for an HOUR. I reserved a full size so I wasn't coerced into upgrading for a fee, but nearly everyone in front of me was. One lady was offered a smart car instead of an economy. Despite my better instincts I stayed in line and went ahead with the rental. The guy behind the sales counter (Jon I think) asked me if I would like to pre-pay gas at 3.70/gallon and save myself a trip to the station. I explained I would be staying local and not driving much. He suggested this as a time saver in THIS scenario. I agreed. When he presented me the Estimated Charges I questioned why it showed $60 for fuel and he said, "That is ONLY if you return the car empty, otherwise whatever you don't use will be credited back to your card." OK - sounded fair. Two days later I return the car 5/8 full. I am told by the inspector that I can wait in line if I want to or just "throw my rental papers on the desk and go". That seemed odd, so I waited in line. Only to be handed a receipt for the full amount of the tank of gas. I thought the woman at the desk simply made a mistake, but she said no the pre-pay if "use it or lose it" and the only other thing I could do would be to get a refund of the $60 and pay $9.90 a gallon for the gas I used! ARE YOU KIDDING ME! Despite my best efforts to sort this out professionally they (including two supposed managers) just didn't care and refused to credit the unused gas (over a half of tank). Clearly I was lied to at rental just so they could increase the profit for their car. Sad, that a business resorts to outright lying to customers. Oh and I forgot to mention, that there were over 10 people there on "standby" when I returned waiting for the cars they had RESERVED but were told those cars were unavailable and they would have to wait or pay an upgrade. trust your gut - don't use this company!!!
