I came for the 10th Anniversary Grand Tasting at Vegas Uncork'd (as well as buying tickets to other events). We purchased the Chase Sapphire tickets for $300 per person, which provided early admittance and access to a private area with seating and little bites prepared by the chefs at Spago. There were dozens of restaurants and wine, beer and spirits represented. About 40% of the bites were fantastic, about 40% of the bites were good and about 20% of the bites were in the trash for sure. Of the chefs represented, some were friendly and warm (Rick Moonen, Hubert Keller, etc.), some were absent (Gordon Ramsay disappeared quickly) and some were cold (Giada di Laurentis). The Bon Appetit and Caesar's Palace staff are great, but the event is much too crowded. Most of the Uncork'd regulars that I talked to no longer come to this event as a result. Overall, it is fun to experience...once. I would rather do the other events on my return visit.
