  • I want to preface that Pet Health Hospital did not ask me to write this review. I recently moved to the Las Vegas area and needed to find a vet for my cats to get their teeth cleaned. Even though it is a routine procedure, I did not want to take my cats to just any vet. I found Pet Health Hospital on Yelp and was able to get my cats in for an appointment the following day for an initial evaluation. The staff at Pet Health Hospital are some of the most thoughtful, thorough, and caring people I have met. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by one of their friendly staff. I went to the waiting area where there was a personalized greeting on the TV screen for my cats. I waited no more than a couple of minutes before I went into the exam room. My cats were seen by Dr. Lewis who took a thorough history of my girls. She and the technicians also took the time to play with my girls to make them feel more comfortable. Dr. Lewis and the technicians explained everything and their use of PowerPoint presentations ensures that they provide all the necessary information to parents. Dr. Lewis and the staff were so accommodating and fit in both of my girls' procedure the day after the initial exam. They also offered me the option to receive text updates throughout their procedures. In addition, Dr. Lewis was the one who always called me regarding my cats, which was a bit surprising as I have typically received calls from technicians at other animal hospitals. When I picked my girls up after their procedures, I was given 2 customized folders, one for each of my girls, with their before and after dental procedure photos (who does that?!). They even put their photos on the cover- I thought it was the cutest and most thoughtful thing ever. There are some Yelp reviewers who have commented on Pet Health being on the more expensive side as a drawback. To that, I would say that if I didn't take my cats to Pet Health, I may not have known that one of my cats had a bad tooth that needed to be extracted. When I had called around to other vets, some did not perform x-rays as part of their dental cleanings and, therefore, might have completely missed the fact that my cat needed a tooth extraction. Some procedures might cost a little more than other places, but it's because they are more comprehensive. To me, that isn't a drawback. I would rather pay more to get it done right the first time than have my cat suffer and potentially risk not being able to fix the damage down the road. I only wish I lived closer to Pet Health because one of my cats gets car sick. Nevertheless, I will continue to take my cats here for their care because I'm certain that I will not find a better animal hospital in southern Nevada. I will just have to move closer to them.
