  • I have to be very clear with the 3 star rating: a perfect 5 stars for Dr. Dorsey, her medical assistant and the front desk staff. They are all unbelievably professional, kind and go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable when you arrive, during the entire visit and when you leave. Dr. Dorsey is truly a gem and I hated that I had to leave her. She offers full services for the duration of your pregnancy; unfortunately, she doesn't deliver and therefore has to transfer you to an OB/Gyn who can actually finish the last couple weeks of your pregnancy and also finalize your birth plan/deliver your baby. Now, the reason for the 3 star rating is because of the billing department. I was first a cash only patient, and when I received insurance, they were going to reimburse me for the first three months that I was paying out of pocket. They first reimburse the doctor and then the doctor's office writes me a check for whatever amount I was to be refunded. I started seeing Dr. Dorsey in July 2015... it's now May 2016 and I still haven't received my final check. I have done numerous phone calls and it is just a grueling process that is taking forever. I believe there is one manager that handles all of the billing (I think his name is Tim or Tom) and he was so difficult to work with. He actually handed me off to an assistant named Adrianne, but even she couldn't help me unless he signed off on it (and he was ALWAYS out of the office) so it was just useless. If you know you won't need to be going back and forth with insurance or have an issue with billing, then you should definitely try this practice.
