  • I'm a new resident of South Euclid/University Heights, but I'm a long time Yelp-er (at least a reader if not a reviewer). Plus, I used to live in Cleveland when I was a nerd at Case (I've since become super duper cool), so I know the area. I thought I'd start out with Whole Foods, seeing that I'm from Austin and I have the flagship store to compare to. Prognosis: Positive! Really, this store isn't all too different from the Austin store except in foot print and layout. Duh, you say, that's why it's a chain, right? But really what I'm trying to get at is that this store is high caliber when compared to other Whole Foods. I was at another Whole Foods in Philly and was really disappointed with the crammed nature of the store and lack of extras that I've come to expect when I'm paying such high prices for food. So now for the typical pro/con list: Pros: Great presentation, interesting brands, good food, friendly knowledgeable people Cons: Price, the prepared food never tastes quite as good as it looks In the end, the pros win out for me, enough so to give it a 5. I like me some Trader Joe's due to the nicer prices, but I will always go back to Whole Foods. This store is definitely a place I go when I'm feeling like splurging for some good food and want some atmosphere to go along with it (I always seem happier when surrounded by food). The rest of the time? I shop at Marc's...
