  • I was honestly very disappointed with my stay. I had high expectations (i have stayed here before and it was great) but this time around was mediocre. We initially got a pyramid room and the sheets were filled with stains. I spoke to management and they moved us to another pyramid room, which was worse. The room had not even been cleaned. We walked in and thought that somebody else was still staying in the room. There were empty water bottles, trash everywhere, empty coffee cups with lipstick stains, and the towels had been used. Once again, I spoke to management and they switched us over to a tower suite which was decent. Unfortunately the hot tub in there looked dirty and paint was chipped. In regards to staff, they looked bored and unenthusiastic. They did however fulfill our requests so I give them a plus for that. What I really disliked though, was that housekeeping staff walked into my room TWICE while I was sleeping. A woman first walked in at 8 am., then a second woman walked in at 10 am. If I am told that I have to check out at 11 am., expect that I will check out at 11 am. I do not appreciate having individuals walk into my room invading my privacy. I'm just glad I was sleeping and not changing clothes or sitting in the toilet while this happened, or we would have had some serious issues. Pros: Bed in our third room (tower suite) was comfortable, bathroom was clean, and decor was nice. We were told that the room had just been renovated, so thumbs up for that. Overall, step up your cleaning standards and train your staff better, Luxor. I probably will not be returning again.
