  • I researched many custom shops, I am very new to process of customizing cars, I have always left vehicles as they are with the exception of maybe tint. This is my first Porsche and while the car is 11 years old I still wanted to maintain the classic Porsche feel. I spent about, 6 months researching, and reading reviews and talking to clients of various shops. I first met with Nick when I stopped in on a test drive of the Cayman, and I wanted to discuss a wrap and update stereo, Nick also mentioned tint at the time. I told Nick, I was only inquiring and that I didn't own the car just yet, but I would in a month or so, several months passed between that time and when I brought the car into have the car window tinted. Nick was awesome, he helped me get the car in and out worked on my tint, my car has auto up and down windows so it's hard to keep the tint attached in the corners, they redid the tint without question a couple times till it was right! I had a lot of questions about stereo head units vs. tablets, and I was trying to determine what color wrap I wanted. I took months to sort through this, and Nick was very patient and answered all of my questions without fail. I finally determined the color and after talking to Nick and looking into the options I decided to go with a head unit the AVIC 8201NEX. Nick also recommended based on my color wrap choice that I might consider powder coating the wheels. I finally setup a date for the install and worked out the final details with Nick. I was still freaked out a little having never been through this process but Nick was great about explaining the process. I dropped my car off Nick arranged for rental car to pick me up, since this car is my daily. I was excited to see progress so mid-week Nick sent me couple pictures, also to get my feedback on a couple options with the wrap, I knew these choices were going to come up and I sort of left them to Nick as I trusted his judgement but he called me anyway and I stopped by the look at the car and give my thoughts about what would I would like to see. I was happy when Friday rolled around, I was very excited and very anxious to see it and get my car back, so I of course showed up early, probably a little to early, but I settled up and waiting to see my car. Nick and the team were finishing up the final details and cleaning it up for me. The results speak for themselves I think, I was amazed, I loved how my car looked stock, but after this transformation it was just beyond words for me, all I could really muster was WOW! I was a very happy customer to say the least, Nick asked me to give it a week and bring it back to do any touch ups the car might need. I went back today and Nick and the guys did a once over and fixed the few areas I asked about, I talked to Tyler a little bit while I waited, he is a great guy as well, I will tell you Nick, Tyler, Gloria, and honestly all the guys are genuine what you see is what you get and they will always tell you as it is. The level of workmanship here is outstanding, and the guys press each other to always do better and to do what is right for the project, after all your car will be their billboard. I watch people and I listen a lot, and I can honestly say that my impression of everyone here, it doesn't matter if you are spending $300 for tint or $6000 for a wrap, stereo, engine modifications, you are treated the same, with respect, honesty and friendship. I will happily wear an Apex Customs shirt, hand out cards, talk to others and promote this business, its a rare thing these days to find a business that I feel is worthy of the praise and a review this long and detailed, but Apex Customs is without a doubt one of those places. The results of the work I had completed here is amazing, and I needed my car to be an expression of myself and my brand, as all my clients see my car when I arrive at their homes, 17 clients I have dealt with this past week and all of them couldn't believe it was the same car, 4 in fact insisted it had to be a new car, I am still not sure they believed me. Thank you guys, I am sure I will be back for something if not for this car a future car.
